How It All Began
It all started with a young man, Izzy Whitley, who, despite facing financial struggles and health setbacks, had a vision to make a difference. Living in a sleep-out and surviving on noodles, Izzy launched what would become ALH Recruitment, driven by his passion to help everyday people find reliable jobs. From the outset, his goal was clear: to connect job seekers with employers in a way that not only filled roles but made meaningful matches for long-term success.
A Leap of Faith
Izzy’s drive to grow his recruitment company took precedence over his university studies. Faced with a critical business decision or passing an exam, Izzy chose to walk away from the classroom and fully dedicate himself to ALH. This leap of faith paid off, as ALH soon grew into a key player in recruitment.
A Key Partnership and Major Growth
The turning point came in 2017, when Izzy met Rob Fyfe, the former CEO of Air New Zealand. Rob and other investors saw Izzy’s passion and believed in his vision, deciding to invest in ALH. This support helped propel the company to new heights, allowing for rapid expansion across New Zealand and into Brisbane, Australia.
Expanding to Australia
Today, ALH has 12 branches in New Zealand and a new Brisbane branch in Australia, helping over 800 people find work each day. Our reach continues to grow, and we are proud to offer personalised, results-driven recruitment services that connect hard-working Australians with the right employers.
